About Indoor Orientation and Mobility:
Indoor Orientation and Mobility (IOM) is a service that is provided by an Orientation & Mobility Specialist or Vision Rehabilitation Therapist that assists visually impaired individuals with increasing their orientation skills and mobility skills within their residence.
Orientation refers to knowing where one is in a current space and identifying things around oneself. Mobility refers to moving safely and effectively from one location to another.
