Microsoft Edge Accessibility for the Visually Impaired:
Microsoft Edge offers features to make it easier to see details on the screen and navigate the internet browser. Accessibility features that are managed in the settings will also affect how Microsoft Edge looks and functions.
To open the settings, go to the Settings and More button represented by three dots in a line which is located in the top right corner. Then scroll down to Settings at the bottom. You can also type Alt Key then Letter F Key to open Settings and More.
Zoom-in and Zoom-out Keyboard Shortcut:
The keyboard shortcut to zoom in and out of the screen is helpful when using Microsoft Edge. For Windows, the keyboard shortcut is the Control key and then the plus or hyphen key. For Mac, the keyboard shortcut is the Command key and then the plus or hyphen key.
Microsoft Edge Appearance Section of Settings:
To go to the appearance section of settings, either select the customize theme button or open more settings using the button in the top left corner represented by three lines then select appearance.
Light mode or dark mode.
Color theme for the background color.
Page colors for different color theme styles.
Default page zoom level.
Toolbar buttons shown.
Tabs section for double click to close a tab.
Fonts section to customize font size and font style for some websites.

To go to the accessibility section of settings, open more settings using the button in the top left corner represented by three lines then select accessibility.
Show outlined on the focused item.
Default page zoom level.
Image descriptions for screen readers.
Navigate page with a text cursor. Turn this feature on or off with the F7 key.
Use the F12 key to open Developer tools.
Microsoft Edge Extensions:
Microsoft Edge Extensions are apps that can be added to Microsoft Edge. Extension shortcuts can be pinned to the toolbar which is to the right of the address bar.
To manage extensions, go to the Settings and More button represented by three dots in a line which is located in the top right corner. Then scroll down to Settings at the bottom. You can also type Alt Key then Letter F Key to open Settings and More. Then hover over Extensions and select Manage Extensions. The Microsoft Edge Web Store is used to add new extensions.
Create Custom Keyboard Commands for Microsoft Edge Extensions:
Go to the Settings and More button represented by three dots in a line which is located in the top right corner. Then scroll down to Settings at the bottom. You can also type Alt Key then Letter F Key to open Settings and More. Then hover over Extensions and select Manage Extensions. Then select the Extensions Menu button in the top left corner represented by three horizontal lines and select Keyboard Shortcuts.

This extension can be used to change the color contrast of websites.

Open or Close Menu Suggested Key Command. Control key then letter Z key.
Dark Reader Extension:
This extension can be used to change websites into dark mode, adjust the brightness, adjust the contrast, and adjust the saturation of colors.

Open extension menu suggested key command. Alt key then Shift key then letter D key. Turn the extension on or off suggested key command. Control key then letter D key.
Switch between dark mode and light mode suggested key command. Control key then letter S key.
Magnifying Glass (Hover Zoom) Extension:
This extension provides a small on-screen magnifier to use for reading. Select the extension icon to turn the extension on or off. Right click on the icon and then select options to customize the extension.

Turn the extension on or off suggested key command. Control key then letter M key. Use the Escape key to turn the extension off. Click someone on the screen to turn the extension off.
To adjust how the extension functions, right click on the extension icon and select Options. Additionally you can go to the Manage Extensions screen, select Details, and select Extension Options.
From this menu, you can adjust the capture area which is the size of the magnifier lens, the zoom level, the magnifier lens shape, and the magnifier lens border color.
Web Accessibility Pro Extension:
This extension provides a floating accessibility feature button with accessibility features for website pages. Once the extension has been downloaded, open the extension and select the Enable Accessibility Features button.
To use the extension, select the blue circular button with a person symbol located in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the extension menu.

Read Aloud: Text to Speech (TTS, Listen to Text) Extension:
This extension can be used to listen to text on website pages. It is available in many languages.

Once the extension menu is open, select the play button to begin listening. The play button is a triangle with a circle around it and it’s located at the bottom middle of the menu.
To adjust the text size, select the two letter As. Then select or drag on the slider.
To adjust other settings, open the settings by selecting the settings button located in the top right corner of the menu.
