Laundry Techniques:
More than one laundry hamper or laundry bag can be used to separate laundry ahead of time by colors, whites, delicates, etc.
Use a small mesh laundry bag to store small items such as socks.
Use sock holders to keep a pair of socks together through the wash.
When using an iron, wear oven mitts or oven gloves to protect your hands from potential burns. You can also use an Electric Iron Guard.
Devices and Apps for Identifying Colors:
Use a Colorino color identifier device.
Use talking camera apps that describe the color of something. Use apps such as the Oorion app, the HelpUSee app, the PiccyBot app, the Speakaboo app, the SeeingAI app describe feature, or the Envision AI app describe scene feature.
Ask smart glasses to describe the color of something.
Techniques for Using Washers and Dryers:
Adapt the settings that are used on personal washers and dryers with labels such as bump dots, tape, and braille labels.
If using a public washer and dryer, bring items that you need to select the correct settings such as a flashlight and a magnifier.
Techniques for Using Laundry Detergent:
Use laundry pods instead of laundry detergent to avoid measuring liquid.
When using laundry detergent, put your finger on the inside of the container that you are pouring into. Once you feel the liquid touch the tip of your finger then you stop pouring.
You can pour laundry detergent ahead of time and put it into small containers.
Use a Liquid Level Indicator when pouring laundry detergent.
